Eastside Westside (9-23-63 to 9-14-64, CBS)
George C. Scott as a NYC social worker. This series was too intense for its time. Attacked controversial social problems and didn't always have happy endings. The episode Who Do You Kill is one of the most powerful of any we know. This is one of the best pieces of work ever done on tv, but no mass audience appeal so it died young.
