We spent a few hours in the LA Amtrak Station in January 2002.  It is a really beautifully rebuilt
facility with a very nice garden adjoining it.  We made connections there on our way to and from
San Francisco.   My friend Diane McBain came down to the station to meet us and we had a lovely
chat.

In January, 2005 we had the goof fortune to spend a day or so in L.A. with Diane, including a night
at her place in the mountains north of L.A.   Below is a shot of Sara and Diane.  Below that is one of myself with our L.A. host
We had a nice tour of the Strip and Hollywood Blvd. and other spots with Diane, but it was most fun to hang out at her place and chat.  She fixed us a lovely dinner and we look forward to seeing her again.
