Santa Fe
On May 19, 2004  we set off on the train with Pat and Tommy, bound for Santa Fe.  It was their first train ride. We had a great trip down there.

We had the car attendant open the wall between our two Deluxe Bedroom compartments, which made
for a fun time.  Here's Pat, with Tommy on the cell phone, most likely to my nephew Matt back in KY.

Here's a shot of me, in a highly relaxed state, watching the countryside go by:

In Santa Fe we stayed at the Inn on the Alameda. Although different in character, this Inn rivals the Wentworth Mansion
in Charleston as a place to stay.  Beautiful landscaping, friendly and helpful staff, and a marvelous breakfast.
If you go to Santa Fe, stay at the Inn on the Alameda.

Nice wide veranda out the front door:

A very pretty private garden and sitting area out the backdoor

A spacious living room in the suite

Here's Sara by the front office door of the Inn:

We had a nice visit to the Museum of Fine Arts, which has a very pretty center courtyard
We went to the Loretto Chapel, which has it's "magical" staircase that is very famous.

A definite place to go is Museum Hill, which has several nice museums.  Especially good is
the International Folk Art Museum.
Here we all are out front, waiting for the M bus to come take us back to town

Back up on Museum Hill, here are my sister and I with a friend
