In 2002
Pipka's Merry Mice of Cranberry Lane made their debut
at the base of a figure called Santa's List.
Unknown to Santa, the mice lived in the stump on which he
rested.
Their little village is called Merry, and Christmas is their
favorite time of year.
As you view the Merry
Mice on this page and the next, pay special attention
to their tails. The tails are made of pewter for strength
and durability. The
figures themselves are heavier than many of the resin
figures in other lines.
Company representatives have said that production will be
limited to only
a few new pieces each year.

The
Merry Mice of Cranberry Lane live at the edge of a forest
near a cranberry bog.
Many families live and work in this happy little village of
Merry.
None is known more than Ollie Chester's family, that lives
in the old tree stamp
at the end of the lane. See their house above.
Ollie, wife Emma, and children Billy and Pip, run the
Cranberry Cider Mill.
The Chesters have found that Merry is a wonderful place to
raise a family and establish a home.

Billy
Chester's favorite winter activity is sledding. When Billy
isn't in school or doing his chores around the house, he is
sledding down Bog Hill with his friends Terry, Cliff,
and Leo. Like most boys, Billy loves the thrill of speed and
racing with his friends.
|
Sam has
been a friend to all of Cranberry Lane, bringing them
letters and packages from family and friends throughout the
area surrounding the cranberry bogs. The children look
forward to his visit each day, knowing he is carrying nibs
of cranberry candy, a favorite treat for all of
them.

Mabel
and Millie are neighbors to the Chester family. These two
young ladies are close friends. When they are not spending
time babysitting and assisting the elderly, they have fun
just talking and being girls. They like to dream of the
future and the opportunities that lie ahead.
|
Papa
Ollie is the third generation of the Chester family to run
the cider mill. He is also a community leader. Even though
he is busy with all his activities, he still loves spending
time with his children. Among his favorite activities is
reading "A Visit from St. Nick" to his son
Pip.
