Different artists were hired to sculpt the various pieces. For collectors of Sherratt & Simpson, some of the Wildtrack mice are close cousins in appearance and size. Wildtrack itself went out of business during the 2001-2002 winter. |

The moulds and all the rights were purchased in 2003 by a company called Ballantynes of Walkerburn. The company was set up in 1989 by Neil Ballantyne, an ex-British Army officer. Up to now the Ballantyne Company has made resin figurines on a military theme. These pieces are made solely in Scotland in the Border Region village of Walkerburn which is 30 miles south of Edinburgh. The original models were made in Perthshire, Scotland.
