1-2-2. Neil Brennan.
was born on the 17th of February in 1850 in Killybegs, Donegal, Ireland.
He died on the 9th of August in1915 at O'Neill, Holt, Nebraska. When Neil
first came to Holt County he worked hauling goods for Patrick Haggerty. L
ater he partnered up with JJ McCafferty and engaged in the hardware business.
JJ McCafferty later became a prominent judge. Neil Brennan went independent
in the hardware retail business in October of 1882.
Neil married Margaret Keyes, a daughter of Thomas
Keyes & Ellen O'Donnell, on November 20th, 1881 at O'Neill, Holt,
Nebraska. Marriage sponsers "both ex loco" per records at St. Patricks Catholic
Church in O'Neill, Nebraska : Jacobo Croghan and Anna Brennan
Margaret was born on the 10th of February, 1860 at Parkhill,
Middlesex, Ontario, Canada. Margaret died on the 10th of Janaury, 1940
at O'Neill, Holt, Nebraska.
Margaret and Neil had the following children:
