Breeding: Breeding takes place among clumps of plants over a period of days. A thick layer of the floating plant Riccia will provide a good spawning medium for the fishes and a perfect refuge for the young. The young grow quickly after hatching and can be netted out and transferred to another aquarium before their predatory parents can catch up with them and eat them! |
