The Barracuda Web Ring is a general-audience ring, available to people of all ages and both sexes, from many countries, and of all religions. As such, do not have on your site:
If in doubt, the Ring Master will be happy to preview your site. If you are surfing the ring and see that a member's site is violating our rules, please report it to the Ring Master (including the site's URL).
The Web Ring's logo and links must be on your site's main entry page so that visitors can easily get back to it. You are not permitted to change the Barracuda Web Ring's graphics or HTML code, except to add your site ID number and the URL for the downloaded graphics as will be described later.
To help maintain the high quality of the ring please have your site substantially complete, and not 'under construction', before joining this ring. The Ring Master will visit your site before approving it, and may periodically surf the ring for quality control.
The Barracuda Web Ring intentionally does not include any primarily-commercial sites, nor does it endorse or offer any opinions on such. But if you have spare parts, or whole or partial Barracudas, for the benefit of the hobby you are encouraged to have a section of your site to offer them for sale -- just be sure that it doesn't dominate your content. Your parts or car want list can be part of your site too.
Respect intellectual property rights! For example, only use copyrighted pictures or other content if you have written permission. The Barracuda Web Ring and its Ring Master are not responsible for members' content, and will not get involved in any copyright disputes (unless it is in regards to his own site or content).
Be kind to the Ring Master -- only apply once per significantly different site. The volunteer Ring Master has a life outside of this ring, so please be patient. But if you don't hear back within a few days, a reminder e-mail to the RM is encouraged. Keep it simple, and without URLs and other content that might cause the spam-filter to snarf your message.
Have the URL registered with RingSurf point to your main Cuda page. There is honestly no limit to the number of other Barracuda web pages you can place your Web ring graphics and links on, as long as they share the same ring HTML code and site ID, but be careful that the code is correct in all places. Don't put our ring logo and links on non-Barracuda pages.
And last, but not least, the Ring Master, current or future, reserves the right to deny applications and to delete sites from the ring, for any reason and potentially without warning. Please be sure to update your e-mail address in RingSurf. If you notice that your site is no longer in the ring, contact the Ring Master -- if it is a rules-compliance problem, and you bring and keep your site in compliance, then the Ring Master may reinstate your site. But more often is your ring code is broken; fix it and contact the Ring Master. The rules of the ring may be amended at any time.
If so, proceed to the step-by-step instructions. If not, please consider modifying your site, and then come back!
