The date was September 29th 2001, the place Lake Shawnee, Why? The Make-A-Wish Foundation, the kids
A dream. 29 Players attended the 2001 Sharks by the Lake Charity Open and none of them where there
for any other reason than to place a smile on some childs face. There was no glory, no money, just
dreams and happiness $760.00 dollars was raised and donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and next year we want to hit $1500.00 so if you have plans already, cancel them and if not, then I will see you there next year. There was over $2000.00 dollars in donated prizes that where given out to the players that attended. Every player received something. Kevin Babbit won a 13 inch television for winning Open. Rudy Gamino won a Disc Golf basket for winning the Advanced Division. Alex Novikoff won the CTP/Ace contest and won the disccatcher from Innova. All in All things went great. The weather was perfect and we got to play in the middle of a cross country meet during the first round See ya next year will have the rest of the results as soon as i get them Hays Scores will be posted as soon as i receive them.
