THE AUTHOR
Richard J. Warrington retired from the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Department
in Topeka, Kansas after a career of 25 years in law enforcement, more than
19 years of which were in direct involvement
with crime-scene investigation as a supervisor.
Warrington remains active in the field as a instructor. He has written
numerous articles on crime scene technology and procedures. Warrington
is currently on the Board of Directors of the Kansas
Division of the I.A.I. (International Association of Identification),
on the Board of Directors of the International
Crime Scene Investigators Association and a member of the Association
for Crime Scene Reconstruction.
He is also the developer of the Blue
Light Special portable alternate light source that is used in fingerprint
development and rape investigation.
Warrington is currently a crime scene consultant in Research and Development
for the Lynn Peavey
Company in Lenexa, Kansas. |
